Tiesto: In Search of Sunrise Tour

Trance was my first love, in terms of music, and shows like last night’s remind me why. Tiesto spun at Webster Hall for three nights in a row, and rocked it out the whole way through. He spun, as usual for him, a “traditional” set, eschewing a laptop and working from CDJs. Flawlessly mixed all night, with only one hiccup that I ca remember (probably just a scratch on the cd).

If you’ve never seen him live, I highly recommend it. He’ll pack the room tightly, but it’s usually a good crowd (as was last nights) that is knowledgeable about the music, or at least his music, and that just adds to the energy of the night!

Here are some pics:

Coming up in July are Van Buuren and Deadmau5.
With Van Dyk closing the summer out in August.

Hope to see you there!

Well another DJ has made a new mix of an old Elvis song. I don’t think it’s as good as “A Little Less Conversation” but it is worth a listen. Elvis is now House music with his song “Baby Let’s Play House” revamped.
