it’s not a super hero movie
it’s not a comic book movie
it’s very much a crime drama in the spirit of Heat
it’s tense
it’s insightful, albeit dark
it’s a reflection of what is and could be in society

It’s superbly acted, and yes, I agree with the etherweb about Heath Ledger deserving the Academy Award for his role as the Joker.
He is barely, if at all, recognizable. His voice, his mannerisms, his physique… he IS the Joker.

I’ll probably go watch it again sometime this weekend.

If I can find IMAX tickets, I’m definitely going there.
