Finding the Groove
I went to Lounge 11 last Friday with some friends. I’m not much of a Jersey bar/lounge type of guy, but I will praise good music when I hear it. The main DJ spun your typical North Jersey hip-hop/house kind of set, but the guy who opened had a great vibe going. It was 2 hours of Chicago/Gospel house that had people movin’ and groovin’ the whole time.
He played this track, and I thought, at the time, it was Maxi from Faithless, but it turned out to be a Quentin Harris remix of Mr. V.
Regardless, this track was a turning point in the set for me. I had been debating on slowing down this month’s mix a bit, and after hearing this… well, i was inspired.
It’s not set in stone, but I think this is the direction I want to try to head in for v.5.
Track: Mr. V – Jus Dance (Quentin Harris Re-Production)
