It’s May… we have a new mix and a new site! If you don’t know yet… I’m a huge fan of dance music, and that’s lead to DJing as a hobby. Every month I try to put out a new mix, and so far this year I’ve been successful!

Click here for the new mix, or use the menu at the top of the page to go to the Downloads section. Downloads are in a Zipped file, so you just DL it… un-zip it and load the mp3 on your iPod, or burn it to CD. If you’re a little more tech savvy, I’ve also included cue files in most of my mixes!

So I picked up a new portable HDD today.  I’m syncing it as we speak.

It’s a Western Digital 320GB Passport.  Typically I don’t buy WD, but I went on the recommendation of several friends.  So far so good, although the real test will be running it off my laptop.  It’s a tiny little thing that would fit in my front pant’s pocket, which makes it super-portable.

Here’s to hoping this one makes the cut!

DO NOT BUY VOX!!!

This piece of shit hard drive is only like 3 months old and I’ve already had to replace the power cord once AND now it’s starting to shut off on me while I play.  Not a big deal, except I’m trying to do more and more of my sets straight from Serato.   And trust me… it’s a lot of fun to be in the middle of a flowing groove and then have your equipment shut down on you. 

I’m going to keep working on the playlist, but i don’t think I’ll be able to record.  I’ll see about picking up a new HDD tomorrow after work.  Any suggestions?

Remeber Logo, back in the day? That little triangle that your computer teacher told you was a turtle, and you could make him move around the screen to draw things?
Man… I wish programming had stayed that simple, lol!!1!

I’m not talking about that kind of logo, though.  I’m talking about logos for the site.

I got my Downloads page (there is a link on the site menu, also) up and working.  The layout is missing a few of the design elements i’ve added to the front page and I’ll get to them as soon as I can, but what’s important is that the page is up and usable.

I’ll be posting my mixes there, from now on.  So if you haven’t listened to them yet, feel free to give them a go.  And if you have listened to them, feel free to share this with everyone you know!!

I won’t even try to write something about being happy with the site.  It isn’t finished by any means, but it is heading in the right direction.  As long as I can keep the momentum going, then I’ll have a quality site that I can be proud of (and use in my portfolio!!). Jump to full article. »

Hopefully you are seeing this message post-edit, as in not the default WP theme.  That’s what I’ll be attempting to do the rest of the night; build a basic, but elegant theme for this site.
