So i was relaxing and turned the webcam on to chill with a few friends as I spun, and about 2 hours later I decided to spin for the rest of the evening. I only grabbed about 2 out of the 4 hours on film, as it were, but here it is for you to enjoy.

So a friend of mine wanted to introduce me to a DJ at a lounge in NYC, Babel, and was like… “Do you have a demo you can give him?”

“Sure”, says I.

“Not trance and stuff, though… hip hop, raggae, raggaeton…. that sort of stuff.”

“Yeah… no problem.”  Blatent lie.  If you know me as a DJ, I’m all about electronica in it’s various forms.  I may stick to certain styles, but it’s all about electronica.

So here I am, not knowing much about this style besides they’re great to dance to with a girl that can dance.  So I start looking for tracks, building from artists that I know… playlist it, mix it, check it…. got it on the first take.  Thus the name, Take One.  I have a lot to learn about DJing this kind of music, but I’m happy with this demo.  Hopefully the DJ at Babel is too.  😀
