So I’m out and my brother text me that he’s at a house party with no music, and he’s using me as a DJ by playing my Memory Lapse shows. Very nice plug… thank you very much! But then, omw home I start thinking… well, I could actually PLAY the party from my house. So i get home, hit him on the cell, and true enough, the party’s still going. So at 2am, I started spinning a house party at a house I’ve never been to!! lol

I grew up with hip-hop, and I’ve always had a love for it. But lately, I don’t know… something’s been missing. I’m not a big fan of southern rap, which is dominating right now. Sure there are some exceptions, Ludacris and Outkast for example, but overall, hip-hop feels like it’s on a downward slope. For me, anyway…
Of course, every once in a while, there comes a track (and hopefully an album) from someone that just turns it around. Now, I haven’t heard anything else from him recently, but Q-Tips new track just feels right! I can’t get enough of it, and I hope the album that goes along with it is as good.
Well, just one, actually.
I want to thank everyone that listened last night, and I want to appologize for the horrible sound quality. Erratic was trying to tell me that there was distortion, but I couldn’t hear it here and so I had no idea what was actually wrong. As I usually do, I was reviewing the recording this morning, and I can’t believe everyone listened to this last night. So, again, thank you, and I’m sorry.
I’ll be doing another show to make up for this one next week, Oct. 8. Hope to see you all there

So I was planning on just doing a sound/equipment check last night. I got a new laptop a few weeks ago, and I wanted to see if A) my laptop was strong enough to DJ off of AND broadcast the show (usually I was using my old laptop and my computer) B) if I could use 2 cameras.
Yes and yes! The equipment check was a success, but i guess i had posted my sound check on my AIM away message, so a few people came in to listen. Ange so I started posting it in a few other places. And more people came… so like 4 hours later, my sound check ended 😀
I didn’t catch the first hour and a half, because like I said… it was supposed to be a sound check but the rest of the show, if you missed it, can be heard right here 😀
I want to appologize for the video last night. It was working during my sound check and then just crapped out.
I’m going to figure out why that happened, and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Thanks again for watching… err, listening! 😀
