Q-Tip – Getting Up
I grew up with hip-hop, and I’ve always had a love for it. But lately, I don’t know… something’s been missing. I’m not a big fan of southern rap, which is dominating right now. Sure there are some exceptions, Ludacris and Outkast for example, but overall, hip-hop feels like it’s on a downward slope. For me, anyway…
Of course, every once in a while, there comes a track (and hopefully an album) from someone that just turns it around. Now, I haven’t heard anything else from him recently, but Q-Tips new track just feels right! I can’t get enough of it, and I hope the album that goes along with it is as good.
